Do you say "boo-yeah" or "boo-y'all"?
What with the thrashy thunder storms and sun that has seemed recently to be hell-bent on melting the puny human beings rushing from one air-conditioned domicile to another, neither of us have found the time to take the dogs out to a park or a wooded area for them to run their brains out. Tonight, around 10, Other finally took pity on Stink Dog #1 and took him for a much-needed walk, leaving Stink Dog #2, who is not particularly good on leashes or sidewalks, home with me. It is my job to play with her enough to get her to leave #1 alone for a few minutes because when she has too much energy, it all gets channeled into following #1 around and biting his tail and licking his face.
So when Other and #1 left, I came upstairs to eat my melty ice cream and read some blogs before playing with #2. But she took it upon herself and raced around the house as if she were being chased by a pack of hyenas, all wild-eyed and frantic. It was completely un-elicited running. Now she's laying in bear-rug formation on the tile floor downstairs. My work here is done.
