A Lame-Duck Congress Impeached Him on a Saturday.

My lovely and talented significant Other has started a blog: Sentences. At this point, it consists of a single sentence - a lame-duck congress impeached him on a saturday, if you must know - but at some point in the future - tomorrow, say - there will be more sentences. And you should read them.

In other news, my man Howie continues to rock the world with his amazing greatness.

I won't go into the whole Howard Dean experience that I've had over the past 4 months, because it's painful. I would just say, if you plan on voting in the Democratic primary, please at least consider Howard Dean, despite whatever you might have heard in passing on the news. Here are a couple points to consider:

1) Anyone who voted to support Bush's war, Bush's tax cuts, or Bush's (unfunded) education program will be very hard pressed to beat said Bush in the general election.

2) The "yell" that made the news over 700 times in the span of 3 days was taken out of the context of the crowd noise that was drowning out everything Dean was saying. There's a story about how that was done here, along with the real audio. Check it out to see for yourself what they did to him for ratings.

3) I've heard people criticize him for sealing his own Governor's records while criticizing Bush for the same thing. He has explained that he's only sealing those documents that contain private information about his constituents. (Many people, for example, wrote to him on the civil-unions issue and talked about being gay, which he doesn't believe is his place to make public.) He has a judge going through all of his records and determining which ones should be sealed in order to protect voter privacy. The rest will remain unsealed. George W. Bush cannot say the same thing.

4) He's no angrier than lots and lots of Americans (myself included) who want Bush out of office.

5) He's a doctor, and has a great record in Vermont of providing health insurance to those in need of it, especially children. Health issues are going to be huge in the coming election and his experience of several different perspectives on the industry will be a great benefit.

6) He's a generally good guy.

In still other news, I desperately need a redesign.
